Deburring

Deburring processes range from the most simple edge break or dulling of a corner/edge to the removal of extruded metal from stamping, machining or incomplete saw cuts.  Deburring can be accomplished in mass finishing equipment on bulk parts or by brushing or belting in automatic equipment.  In all cases the media chosen (brushes, belts or tumbling media) is a balancing act: cut rate, breakdown rate, and desired finish.  Mass Finishing compounds are chosen to provide cleaning, minimal lubricity and some corrosion protection.
